You might remember that I (and Suite101) took part in the Jane by Design Style Challenge. Unfortunately, I didn't win first prize, but what I did get was a chance to ask an exclusive question to one of the cast. I know all the young girls out there are drooling over Matt Atkinson who plays the jock Nick Fadden.

Tonight the highly anticipated teen drama Jane by Design premiered on ABC Family. We were asked to comment about a specific character's style or something that caught our eye.

For this latest challenge we were asked to take inspiration from an ordinary object and make it into fashion. After all, the upcoming ABC Family show Jane by Design is about fashion.

This latest challenge is something working women face all the time. How do you go from work to a cocktail party with very little time in between? 

Jane by Design is an upcoming TV series on ABC Family focusing on one girl juggling two lives - as a high school student and a fashion assistant. ABC Family is running a fun blogging challenge to get viewers ready for this series which will premier in January 2012. We are now on the second challenge - fashion icons.

The assignment is to select one of our fashion icons and create her "look" with a plain white t-shirt that was sent to us by the network.

Sex and the City

I just returned from ten days in Hawaii where I was surrounded by colors - the buildings, the flowers, the dresses, the aloha shirts and the beautiful rainbows that arch across the tropical sky. So, when I was out shopping and discovered this plethora of colors available in one box at Sephora, I couldn't help but remember the colors of the island.
